  • Minimal Risk Consultancy are recruiting, on behalf of a major Defence Industry client, for a Global Security Specialist based out of the UK.

    As a member of the Global Security (GS) team, reporting to the Sr Manager, Global Security and based out of the United Kingdom, the Global Security Specialist, will provide focused support to the GS Mission.  Duties will include but will not be limited to:
     
    • Provide support to the Sr Manager, Global Security (GS) and GS team.  This may include Open Source (OSINT) analysis, the development of security product for regional stakeholders, and assisting the Sr. Manager GS or the wider Global Security & Crisis Management (GSCM) team, in preparations and response to real world incidents. 

    • Maintain responsibility for essential daily deliverables – Executive Travel Reports, Elevated Risk Travel approval process, collating, analysing and presenting data on locations of interest as directed.

    • Respond to and action tasks relating to the Global Security Site Security Program, to potentially include site security inspections, procedure reviews, systems support, advice and training.

    • Provide advice and support to employees regarding the Integrated Regional Access Control System (IRACS).

    • Provide support to the Sr Manager and when required, the wider GSCM team on new Global Security initiatives and projects, particularly within the digital transformation field with an emphasis on AI as and where appropriate.

    • Assist with security investigations, where requested.

    • Be prepared to travel internationally to conduct security assessments, inspections, executive protection support, and security support for trade and airshows.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    • You need to be a UK national or have the right to work in the UK.

  • Qualifications

  •       Essential Criteria 

    • A proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and in the written word. 

    • Strong organisational skills, particularly working to tight time lines and under pressure. 

    • The ability to work both proactively and reactively, sometimes outside of standard office hours when exigencies dictate. 

    • A strong team member who also has the adaptability and capability to work alone and unsupervised if required. 

    • A basic understanding of both Threat and Risk and the ability to evidence working or decision making using a risk-based approach. 

    • A basic interest or understanding of current affairs and geopolitics.  

    •  Desired criteria  

    • Experience working in or with a Crisis Management team and a basic understanding of Business Resilience. 

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related intelligence or international security analysis.  

    •  International travel background is desired as a compliment to the field of study.
