Job Description
Overview

A private family in Yorkshire is seeking a dedicated and trustworthy couple to fulfil the roles of Security Officer and Housekeeper. This is a long-term, stable opportunity for a proactive, responsible couple who take pride in their work and value continuity.

The family have pet dogs, so applicants must be comfortable around animals.

Security Role

Hours: Monday to Friday - hours of darkness (varies seasonally).

Responsibilities
Monitor centrally controlled CCTV and security systems.

Perform regular foot patrols of the grounds.

Maintain a strong, reassuring security presence.

Safeguard the family and property.

Report any unusual activity or security issues.

Handle access control and liaise with contractors or emergency services when required.

Report faults in security or safety systems.

Requirements

physically fit and able to patrol outdoors.

Vigilant, calm, and dependable.

Strong communication skills and a “can-do” attitude.

Previous military experience preferred.

Security background beneficial.

Comfortable working around pet dogs.

Housekeeper Role

Hours: Monday to Friday 0900 to 1400 hrs.

Responsibilities

General housekeeping and cleaning duties.

Maintaining excellent standards throughout the home.

Accepting and handling deliveries.

Light household organisation.

No cooking required.

Requirement

Fit and able to undertake all cleaning tasks.

High attention to detail.

Organised, discreet, and proactive.

Previous housekeeping experience desirable.

Comfortable around pet dogs.

Start Date: May 2026

Salary: £60,000 combined per year

Accommodation: a detached 3/4 bedroom house is provided within 5 minute walk of main residence.
