Front of House/Close Protection Officer for News Studio in Paddington/Maida Vale Area

Job Description
Minimal Risk are looking for a Front of House/Close Protection Officer to work on a full time 42 hr contract at a News Studio in the Paddington/Maida Vale area of London.

This entry-level position is a fantastic career-launching opportunity. It would ideally suit:
- A newly qualified Close Protection Officer (CPO) looking to gain valuable operational experience.
- An experienced Concierge with excellent customer-facing skills and a sharp eye for security.
- A licensed Door Supervisor with experience in commercial office, hotels or similar with excellent customer service and looking to step up, advance their career, and transition into close protection.
Task Details

24/7 hour security cover of News Studio.

Monitoring access control and passes.

Provide presenters with Close Protection when required, including escorting them to their car or taxi.

Co-ordinating with building security for any VIP or celebrity arrivals, utilising the most appropriate means of entry and exit.

Audience monitoring and checking/searching for live shows.

Periodic patrols of the studio.

Recording all security incidents and near misses. Effectively reporting and escalating significant incidents to minimise impact and future risk.

Screening and handling all incoming mail and packages for threats in line with best practice.

Provide first aid.

Ensure green room and studio is presentable for guests.

T&Cs

£36,407 per year on an average 42 hrs per week contract.

Shift pattern 4 days on 4 off, 4 nights on 4 off.

Paid holidays 25 days per year.

Pension.

Overtime available often on outside broadcasts.
Death in service: 1 x annual salary
Qualifications
SIA Close Protection Licence.

Minimum of Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.

Fire Marshal certificate - desirable but training would be provided.

Outstanding customer focus.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.

Ability to recognise threats and quickly step in to de-escalate or mitigate those threats.

Must have the right to work in the UK.

The successful applicants will be vetted to BS7858 and this must be completed within 12 weeks of your start date. Vetting will begin prior to your first shift.
