MRC are looking to increase our pool of ad-hoc physical pen testing consultants.
Work is ad-hoc and UK wide including London.
You must be able to work independently and complete written reports to a high standard. Tasks will mainly be out of hours i.e. evenings and weekends.
Role objective:
To ascertain the vulnerabilities of a site or property through a series of tests. Security guarding and system compliance are assessed against a pre-agreed set of criteria. Audits can cover multiple sites or properties simultaneously.
Process:
Following agreement on benchmarking criteria, all consultants are fully briefed. The client is kept informed throughout, with external bodies notified if necessary. Site research is conducted, and a schedule is developed for physical penetration tests and audit.
Reporting:
Each site or property receives a detailed report highlighting key findings, practical recommendations, supporting photographs and a timeline of events and actions.
Schedule:
Audits often include out-of-hours visits to assess security during times of increased vulnerability. MRC routinely conducts assessments during evenings, nights, early mornings and weekends.
Approach:
Physical penetration tests are non-invasive and avoid causing alarm to tenants or occupants. No destructive methods are used. Common tactics include social engineering and exploiting unsecured access points.
